Street-level Phoenix - Day 2

If you know me and you also view my flickr photostream, then you're seeing some repeat photos. I'm going to favor flickr, and sometimes post the photos here as well. If you know me but don't know where to find me on flickr, just let me know.

I saw this on my way home from work today.

Street-level Phoenix

Good eats; I had lunch here today. This place is only eight or ten blocks from the core of downtown Phoenix, which -- for better or worse -- goes right to the heart of one of the funky things about this town... there's no true "downtown" comparable to any equally-sized city. The urban portion of the city is simply not dense at all.

I paid about $4.80 for two beef enchiladas in sauce, beans, rice and a cola.

Every Night, Every Night

So, I took the daughter out this morning to the pet store, Tower Records, and (drum roll.... or guitar riff...) the guitar store. Bought her a ukelele. She digs it. She's downstairs crooning and strumming right now, and for the past hour, a song she made up right away about how she loves her mommy because she makes her a milkshake bobby (a chocolate milk bottle) every night, every night... strum strum strum. Wail. Strum. Cool kid.

Unusual Phoenix

Can't Even Capture 1% of This Stuff

Tonight daughter was trying to talk wife into going upstairs to get something for daughter. Daughter tried a demanding voice, then tried a sweet voice, then said "I am being charming, so you have to do it! This is not ridiculous!"
